The Museum of the County Regiment for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight – Serving the Crown for nearly 300 years.

Opening Hours

Weekdays: 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday.
Weekends and Bank Holidays:  The museum is open every weekend and Bank Holiday from the start of April until 30th September from 11am to 3pm.

Easter 2019: Closed on Good Friday 19th April , Open 20th, 21st and 22nd April from 11am to 3pm.

Easter Chick Trail with prize for children aged 3-10 years.

All areas of the museum galleries are accessible. 

For Families – Family Activity Sheets on WW1 and WW2, I-Spy Photo Trail Sheet, Activities Corner, Replica 1/4 Size Jeep.

Temporary Exhibitions –  Sons & Brothers – Family Ties to the Regiment from 1st April until 15th May 2019

Buttons and Bayonets – this is a joint Winchester Military Quarter Exhibition in the Kincaid Gallery of the Royal Green Jackets Museum for 4-6th May only.

D-Day – Storming the Normandy Beaches from 18th May until 30th June 2019



Entrance to the Museum is FREE.
All donations are gratefully received as we no longer receive any funding from the Ministry of Defence.
